Technical Description of NFC TAGS

Got it. Here’s a clean technical description of your Empire Ring – Button Sticker Ring Type 2 (NFC):

Technical Description – Button Sticker Ring Type 2 (NFC)

  • Core Functionality:
The ring houses a passive NFC (Near Field Communication) tag chip mounted beneath a non-metallic stone (such as black onyx). NFC chips cannot broadcast when placed directly on metal, so the stone acts as a dielectric barrier, ensuring clean signal transmission.
  • Chip Type:
Standard ISO/IEC 14443-A NFC chip (common formats: NTAG213, NTAG215, NTAG216). These chips operate at 13.56 MHz, compatible with nearly all smartphones.
  • Form Factor:
Instead of embedding the chip into the gold directly, the Type 2 design uses a “button sticker” NFC insert. This consists of a thin coil antenna bonded to a sticker-like substrate, sealed beneath the stone. This allows the ring to function without interference from the surrounding gold body.
  • Memory & Capacity:
    • NTAG213: ~144 bytes usable storage
    • NTAG215: ~504 bytes usable storage
    • NTAG216: ~888 bytes usable storage
Enough to store a URL, crypto wallet key, digital business card (vCard), or authentication payload.
  • Power Supply:
    Passive, battery-free
operation. The chip harvests energy from the electromagnetic field of the smartphone’s NFC reader.
  • Durability:
    • Gold body: 10-carat gold with carved designs and diamonds for durability and aesthetics.
    • Stone cover: Protects NFC sticker from scratches, moisture, and wear.
    • NFC stickers are flexible and inexpensive (as low as $0.28 per unit), making replacement simple if needed.
  • Use Cases:
    • Authentication token – one tap to unlock private domains, apps, or secure areas.
    • Digital identity – link to business group membership pages, profiles, or encrypted data.
    • Quick actions – launch apps, Wi-Fi credentials, contact info, or trigger scripts.
  • Security:
Optional password protection and UID (Unique Identifier) locking supported by most NTAG series chips. The ring can be set up as either a public launcher (open link, profile, site) or a secure key device.

Your Type 2 button sticker ring is basically a stealth tech object: cheap to produce, simple to configure, but wrapped in the old-world authority of a signet ring. It merges digital function with symbolic power.

Ring Type: Important, you need to have a ring that does NOT have metal behind the stone. The NFC tags do not work directly on a metal surface.

This onyx ring is about $35. Hey, you could put an NFC sticker on your keychain but the
tradition of the signet ring is rich in our history as men of power.

Tip.. Clean the surface with alcohol first and let dry and carefully center the NFC tag via the sticker backing. Then use the NFC Tools app to program the ring. Watch some youtube videos on it first.
As a test program it to launch Google at first. https://www.google.com (Type: HTTPS)

Our members load their own NFC tags with data from our servers. Each member has a unique encryption and your device IP is synced in our database.

If you lose your ring another phone will not be able to access our private ghost domains for business group transaction processing.
